LOCATION: McCoy Elementary School
SALARY: $9.86/hour-$13.58/hour
WORK DAYS: 252 Days - 12 Month Employee
REPORT TO: School Principal
FLSA STATUS: NON EXEMPT
POSITION OVERVIEW To help maintain the physical school plants in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use may be made at all times
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing of all responsibilities, duties, and/or skills required. Other duties may be assigned.
- Keeps building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat and clean at all times
- Sweeps classrooms daily and dust furniture and window sills
- Cleans corridors after school day/during the day when their condition requires it
- Scrubs, hoses down, disinfects toilet floors, and clean all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains daily
- Cleans windows and other glass areas on the inside and outside on a regular
- Keeps the ground free rubbish
- Performs such chores as necessary to maintain the school grounds in a safe and attractive condition
- Protect and maintain tools and equipment
- Follow safety codes and regulations
- Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Aptitude and competency for assigned responsibilities
- Valid Mississippi driver’s license preferred
